Ring with a genuine solid boulder opal from Queensland, Australia set in rhodium-plated silver.
The opal is cut in our own workshop and the ring, which is size 59, is designed by Helle.
The band is 16 mm wide and the "bowl" that the opal sits in is 21 x 24 mm. The opal itself is 5 x 12 mm.
NB. Since it is a solid opal, it is water resistant, but not impact resistant or strong solvents.
Opal is also a relatively soft gemstone, and can therefore get small scratches with frequent use.
If it gets small scratches, it can be polished up again.
